The Heart of Your Home

The client wanted a kitchen to match the character of their home. They are surrounded by farmland and wanted their kitchen to match. The Kitchen Loft helped inject rustic charm into their home with custom stained cabinetry in knotty alder.

The Kitchen Before

The kitchen’s original layout was awkward and lacked counterspace, especially near the range and fridge where the most cooking happens!

The Kitchen Loft worked to design a new kitchen that felt familiar but removed all the small inefficiencies and left the kitchen feeling less cramped than before. And it looks good to boot!

The Kitchen Post Transformation

The kitchen is striking in the contrast between light and dark. The full height quartz backsplash plays against the natural alder cabinets with their rubbed onyx matte finish. The marble-like veining makes a stunning impression. This contrast is brought into harmony by the toasted bronze hardware and sink, and the inversion of the range hood retaining the warmth of the wood with only small amounts of black rubbed through the alder.

The awkward corner between the fridge and the range has been transformed with a new full wall of cabinetry that also incorporates new counterspace for improved workflow, work space, and storage. The new island comes with a built-in microwave drawer and a custom panel has disappeared the dishwasher into the cabinetry for a sleek, uncluttered effect. This kitchen perfectly melds elegance and that rustic feeling of being at home.
